Name: Ahmad Muhammad Harun
AKA: Ahmed Haroun
Alleged crime: Ahmad Muhammad Harun allegedly recruited Militia/Janjaweed with full knowledge that they, often in the course of joint attacks with forces of the Sudanese Army, would commit crimes against humanity and war crimes against the civilian population of Darfur. Ahmad Muhammad Harun is charged on the basis of individual criminal responsibility with 20 counts of crimes against humanity and 22 counts of war crimes. A warrant for his arrest was issued by the International Criminial Court on 27 April 2007. Ahmad Mohammed Harun was born in 1964, in the tribe Bargou, in the state of North Kordofan, Sudan.
