Organisation: The Advocates for Human Rights Description: The Liberian Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Project was launched by The Advocates for Human Rights on June 22, 2006. The project gave Liberians in the diaspora a role in promoting international justice and human rights as part of the truth and reconciliation process in Liberia.For more on the Liberian Truth and Reconciliation Commission Project, click here. Organisation: World Organization for Human Rights USA Description: A US-based organisation that, amongst other projects, works with some of the survivors of the massive human rights abuses that took place in Liberia during Charles Taylor's presidency in their efforts to seek justice and accountability for these abuses. This organisation aims to coordinate their legal actions in the US with the local efforts of Liberian human rights groups to secure long-term legal reforms in Liberia.
